Just spent two days hiking & camping from our Big Basin State Park to the coast, Pacific Ocean, something like 14 miles without the detours we took. and thought why not share a few pics of one of California's good places --

These, by the way, are redwood trees..This next pic is the top 2/3 of a 200-foot-tall tree, the base of which is well above our heads. In the next couple of pics, one of the trees laying below the falls is actually the top of this bigger one, broken at about 4 feet in diameter at 200 feet up. ....

That one tree has enough wood to build 17 homes, or a Scottish castle with a three-car garage attached.
