Well thought it was about time to post some pics up of my latest venture.
I bought this earlier this year. the photos i found on here make it look stunning but really wasent as good as it looks so i was a bit disapointed especially after parting with a grand of my hard well earned cash.

Ar Lasses 2.0 Laser - Capri Power

Got it from Sheffield and drove it home. Small carb issue but nothing serious.

I spent the whole easter weekend swapping all the running gear over as i had built up my own suspension brakes, engine axel etc.
Both the original front springs had snapped in half i couldent believe it. Still now i know everything is just fine. I havent started any body work yet as the tax runs out at the end of august so im going to enjoy it for a month and then do the body work during the winter.

Heres how she will look for the time being.

Well thats it so far. not the prettiest capri in the world but ive seen (and owned) far worse lol
Heres the basic spec

Engine/transmission.
205 standard pinto block, seira 2.0 unleaded head, felpro head gasket, standard 32/36 webber, FR32 Fast Road Cam, vernier pully, Brand New Ashley 421 manifold and full system and of coruse K&N Air Filter. Standard Type 9 five speed box connected to a 1600 Rear Axel for a quicker pull away against these little corsas lol.

Brakes/Suspension
Willwood calipers, fast road pads, drilled/vented/grooved disces, -2" 190lbs springs on front, Standard Rear brakes all refurbised on single leaf springs with 2" lowering blocks. And not forgetting the new X-frame axle locating Kit. All polly-bushed throughout .

Body/Wheels
Brand new 13" Star Mags courtesy of Midland Wheels wrapped in 205/60 Kumho Tyres, Mk2 Black Bumpers with BMW E36 Side repeaters as front indicators. New numberplates with chrome surrounds. Sounds a bit 'chavvy' but actually looks quite good with the wheels

Interior
Standard but Mint 'S; Interior with black dash and trim with aftermarket BMW steering wheel and a nice Capri logo gear knob. White Dials with custom white switches. Modern CD stereo im affraid with ariel hidden in the roof lining. Central Locking fitted with an interior lock switch in the dash, Black Ice air freshner for that modern car smell lol.

im glad you all like it. I know compared to a lot of your cars its not much to look at body work wise but im getting there. Im really pleased with the wheels but i have to have 5mm spacers behind them to give leave enough room for the lugs on the centre caps to clip on. It will need longer studs as a result but il only be driving it for a month so they will last me till then.

Again thankyou for your nice comments, makes me feel like its been worth it.

i dident want to do OTT mods but i wanted something slightly differnt. The only other Mod i have planned is crystal clear focus side repeaters. Going to wait till paints done though as the side repeater holes need atenttion lol.

i had thought about that but the front Indicators are not the brightest in the world so for almost safteys sake im keeping the side repeaters. Ive already bought them and rested them in place and they look fantastic. I was going to say sod it and fit them there and then but thought better of it deciding not waste them lol.

Yeah i found out about that a few years back when i noticed my old black 's' never had them. TBH the bloke i go to for my MOT would probably let it slide as its not something thats exceptionally hazardous.

But like i said the 318 lights on the front are not the brightest and the crystal clear focus triangle side repeaters look the nuts and its not a mod ive seen before so im rather proud of it  lol

They are MK2 capri bumpers. I just sold one to a chap in Ireland. If you like them i would get looking on ebay now for them as they are becoming a lot rare'er and harder to get hold of, and as we all know Rare = Mega ££££'s lol.

All the best
