Hey guys would like to hear from anyone that has done this change to get a couple of guide lines
I’ve done it. Brilliant engine and relatively simple swap! Is it a 4 cyl shell or a V6 you’re converting?
I have a full ECU/loom package for sale to run it in a Capri if interested also.
If the job goes ahead it will be going in the 6 pot shell 2.8 out and 2.9 and hooking up onto the standard box few questions though which mounts did you use which manifolds for exhaust will the sump clear ok what clutch do you use, thats to start with
2.8i standard engine mounts, standard 24v manifolds work fine, standard 24v sump is fine and you need a escort Cosworth 4x4 clutch
I was thinking, can the 2.9 manifolds and injection setup be used on the 2.8 ?
