ah the joys of a rebuild, just replaced all my loom, but for some reason the one ive put in is different to the one i took out, looking into why but its all in now, what did you clean the washer bottle with, ive been told of a few ways, but wondered which method you went for

On the inside I used some bleach, washing up liquid an a handful of rice and ran around shaking it for about 10 minutes. Outside I just scrubbed like mad with scourer

Looking really nice but I would have laid the engine bay loom in place before fitting the servo etc as the loom goes between the inner wing and the servo unit.

Thanks Martin. I have added the loom today but be grateful if you could take a look and make sure I have it in the right place. Also is it held against the inner wing using PClips. I did take pictures before stripping nut its a little unclear.
I do have another question regarding the large plastic panels that go over the rear turrets. I have two sorts - one has extra holes for the speaker grills but it there a third type that allows the fitting of rear seat belts?

A little more done. Front grill and headlight bezels, not 100% happy with them so might redo later. Unpicked loom, checked condition or wires, cleaned all connectors, re-wrapped and fitted to car.

Think I do have another grill somewhere, will have a look for it. I am looking for the trim that goes along the front of the bonnet if anyone has one spare. No idea where I have put that :-(

Car was registered May 1979 . Been looking at pictures of 1979 registered 3.0s and I think the grill is correct

My 3.0 Ghia has the same grille, it is meant to have it, imo, they look better than the traditional Mk11 grille, Ford stylists got it pretty spot on and in the interests of originality, l wouldn't change it.

It is correct for the car and I also think the 78' and later ones looks so much better then the -77.
The first thing I removed from my car was the MkII one, it just looks wrong in my opinion on a later car.

looking at your earlier pictures, the struts in particular..
does yours have the vented disc set-up? I realise that 3ltr vented discs are like hens teeth, but have you also seen the guy on fb
that has created collars to allow the use of 28i discs to be fitted onto the 3ltr strut/hub combo ..

It does have the vented disks. They are not bad but the collar option does sound good. Will try and find him on fb

Lovely build Reg, does the xpack need larger splash shields under the front wings or do the standards still fit?
If you need another bonnet trim, I have a mint one you can have for free but it will need painting as its blue.
