Big day tomorrow, got a couple of good mates, lot more skilled welder fabricators than me, all 3 of us will rip into A69 so that I can start refitting her back together. Paul.

Had a quick peruse of A69 last night. Been plodding along for ages, finished the nearside scuttle repair yesterday, even though I say it myself it worked our very well. Had to replace the inner skin, did that, lots of Hammerite down there, as much as I could slosh in. Let that dry off, very quick as the repair was still warm. Made a template, cut out the new steel and it fitted to a T!!!!!. Will dress the weld back today and the front end is now finished. Time to hang those wings. Had a look round and there is only 4 more repairs needed. Nearside rear arch, inner and outer, nearside rear lower quadrant, nearside cill section, and a small part cill repair on the offside. Bu really pleased when all the welding is done, time to start refitting. Paul.

It has turned out that way! Still should be good for another 30 years at least. Paul.

go Sue .. she quiet and Paul noisy .. so my vote as always with the under-dog ..
its a skill I learned in Glasgow when 20 team-mates appeared to be Rangers supporters and only 5 were Celtic Fans
always a good way to get spirits up ..

From the A posts forward all welding is done, so have started to refit some of the non combustible interior back in, early days. Paul.
