Hi all, asking for a good friend. Have any of you kind folks got pictures of the 7.5 xpack 4 spokes fitted to a mk3 with standard arches? Preferably lowered a wee bit too. He is trying to decide whether it's worth the hassle if they are gonna rub, and would appreciate the help Thanks Kris
They'll rub a bit especially depending on what tyres as fitted Kris. I have 205 60's on mine and tbh i haven't driven it hard enough to make it rub but with four people on-board I'd say the rears would just rub and also on an aggressive u-turn on full lock probably would do the same on the fronts. I'm told that 175's don't rub but I'm not into tyre stretching. Will get you some pics up in an hour or so when I get home to a pc.
I've got a set of genuine X-Pack 7.5's, but was undecided whether to fit them or not, for the same reason. They look great but I'll maybe just stick with the Pepperpots for now. Should have thought about arch rolling before the car went for paint, Doh!! lol
An old one of mine, lowered 2". I trimmed the front arch lip and fitted a Mk1 3l rear axle which is about 50mm shorter than the Mk2/3 although probably quite hard to find these days.
Yep Mk1 3litre axle is 50" flange to flange and normal axles is 52" if I remember correctly :thumbup1: Nice cars all the above :thumbup1: :thumbup1: :thumbup1:
