Seems when driving either the Capri or Escort in the wet the windscreen wipers are very slow compared to our 'modern' family car.
Yet when I drove the cars as dailys in the 80's they seemed fine, so are they really slow compared to modern cars?
Do the wiper motors wear out/slow down with age? Can they be speeded up?
Or is this just another joy of driving a classic?

I like it that their not fast, I call em graceful [IMG]

When I was driving the morris minor everyday, as it runs a dynamo, the wipers speed up with engine revs so therefore the faster your driving the faster they wipe, unintentionally worked rather well!

Presumably the old motors can't be refurbed then?
Anyone fitted one from a newer car?
I think I'll keep an eye out for a newer one...
