I have been asked by Alan to put up a wee write up and my photos from yesterday. The first run of the season from Capri Club NI, starting in Sprucefield carpark at 11AM We took the scenic route through the Dromara hills, toward the Mournes. We stopped and had a picnic lunch at Kilbroney viewpoint, which has stunning views. After lunch, we drove back through the Mournes and onto Tollymore Forest Park. After some photos, we went on a lap of Newcastle, and regathered up at Dundrum carpark. Throughout the day there had been a 'Poker Run', which is basically a big box of playing cards, and each driver gets one card at every stop. The ones with the best hands at the end won a few prizes! I managed to bag a new Halfords Professional screwdriver set! Also was a prize for the worst hand, and for best Capri, and best Non-Capri! The Jupiter Red Mk2 with the Beige Vinyl roof won the best capri, and the blue Focus RS won the best Non-Capri. Brilliant day had by all, thanks to those who organised it! Kris
Thanks for sharing Kris :thumbup1: Great pics and even greater cars! I'll take the white S thank you
Some great photos there Kris. I have now put Colin's pics from yesterday up on the club website, www.capriclubni.co.uk
Excellent mate, some nice scenes, good to get out and about. Glad to see you getting involved with all the effort and work you put in to the car.
Yes thanks for posting those photos Kris and glad you enjoyed your first outing with Capri Club Northern Ireland. Look forward to seeing you out again soon, keep your camera handy for the next one !! Was great that we had a big turnout on the day, long may it continue. Alan.
Great pics Kris, good to meet you and your car on Sunday too - she's a beast! It was a great day out alright, couldn't have imagined a better first Club run (well, apart from the traffic in Newcastle ). Cheers, David (Jupiter Red MK2)
