Pretty sure that Carla check was a Mk3 trim option only

My R reg MK4 Cortina 2.0S had that trim, was a bugger to keep free from stains, your trim looks to be excellent.

Amazing how much difference it made to the whole ambiance of the car; Mk2 S to the Mk3 S by changing from the stripey fabric to Carla check.

Those are pre 78 seats, seen a few of them.

From 77' and onwards, S spec had the Recaro seats fitted as standard, at least here in Norway.
Think it's a mainland Europe thing.

My first car was a 77' 2.0S which had the orange and black Carla Recaro seats.
    Lowed them so much.
Still my favorite seats ans color trim.
