I need a radio aerial for my capri, but i dont want it mounted on the wing like it was originally. Im looking for a roof mounted one, but most of the ones i find on ebay seem a bit too cheap, thus they are probably crappy. Does anyone here know of a decent roof mounted aerial that looks good on a Capri that i can get?

I had one of those that stick to the top of the winscreen inside the car with the wire running begind the rubber and down to the radio, in the last 4 or 5 capris ive owned, work really well and saves drilling the rust trapping hole in the wing,

i had a MK2 tina and the aerial ran along the chassis, and i had a MK1 Capri, when you could pick them up for about £10, and this worked on the heated rear window element, the type that use to stick on as mine didnt have a market fit one

    check out HAMA aerials..
they do DAB, FM/AM & Bi-use with mobile comms..
    I got mine on Conrad.DE ..
its a roof mounted perfectly operating aerial with a base coil amplifier ..
some folks call them Bee-Sting aerials.. problem on a Capri II you have to mount it forward enough to miss the tailgate, and also not interrupt the strength beam across the rear of the roof ..
on Rumbly, I fitted one aerial in the location of the rear washer jet.. then on the left side I fitted a very similar aerial in the 'same' position for the CB..
so was able to twin up the FM antennae, great reception.. but then plumbed in CB & mobile comms came in too
.. its been a few years now may have to change my tack when Rumbly comes back ..
