Hi everybody long time no see, but here I am again with probably an old age question that's been chewed over many times. Does anybody know a person or company that can restore or provide a set of door cards as mine are so in need of some TLC , so far everybody I have asked state "Sorry we are unable to help", any ideas would be gratefully received. regards Steve

It depends what part of the card is damaged and also what car its from. If the covering is ok but the card itself has deteriorated and its something you wont easily get a replacement for why not buy a couple of cheap but sound door cards from one of the regular sellers on here and transfer your cover onto it with some spray on glue.

MK2 1976 2.0L GL (rotten), Mk3 1983 2.0L "S" (basically just the shell), MK3 1.6L Cabaret (nearest to being back on the road) - all in bits! Focus 2.0 Ghia Zetec for the daily drive!
I dabbled with stripping the fair condition covering off of my old, black, MK2 Ghia card and grafting to a Laser backing. Never finished it off but doable if a LOT of work!

A selection of the 88 photos of doing it that I took:

The card looked alright from the front:

    But the rear!

The Laser card with the chrome strip added from the Ghia and the carpet section dyed black:

The Ghia covering slipped over the Laser card:

A lot more Stanley knife work than I had hoped too in separating the cover from card. The brittle old vinyl around the original card edges is to challenge too.

    As I say, doable.

Its a pity that the forum won't take my Flickr links in the way most other forums do. Can't be ar5ed changing the way I'm used to linking.
