Just bought a 2.8i Special that is a non starter and I`m getting stuck into the fuel injection system. It seems someone has had a good go at trying to get it going shall we say and I've found the fuel distributor to be siezed and clogged up. So I've bought a Salvos kit for the fuel distributor but I'm struggling to find a plastic collar/O ring as shown in the attached picture....has anyone had this issue before?
It sits on the metering unit near to the cause filter.

You could give the guy here a call as he's rebuilt a few of mine over the years

I think his name is Ken, but couldn't find the old emails to confirm, but he's a really nice guy and his work is outstanding, he may sell the part you need.

    welcome in
if it wasnt a challenge it would be boring !!
depending from where you hail.. also look out for a chap called Thomas Gilley (https://www.facebook.com/thomas.s.gilley.7)
he has a rather good reputation with the old K-Jet, and when the chance arises, he does wee tours sorting folk out as well ...

Just an update guys. I've spoken to an expert....really knowledgeable on K Jetronic. The offending item is a shim designed to give extra support to the gauze filter around the metering unit. It can be left out on a rebuild without any side effects! So it's now in the bin!

Have you got pics of offending shim, would be helpful, start a members car thread, if you don't mind.
