Welcome with that! A good Mk1 is always a hit, and there are several great owners in Oz.
Now that you've joined in, you'll be subjected to the initiation rites, which consist of our badgering you for pics.
    Got any pics?

Thankyou for the add. It started life as a 1970 Factory CKD 1600GT, built at Homebush in Sydney Australia.
After my mate had a dramatic change in circumstance and he and his wife decided to build a new house, he decided
it had to go. I had only gone to see the car for interest as my wife wanted one after I bought a RallyPack MK2 Escort.
So I asked if he'd sell it to me when completed. Before I picked it up, it underwent an engine change to a V6 with a few upgrades as well
as upgraded front brakes and an Aussie Ford Falcon 4speed gearbox. I then changed the back axle to an Atlas diff ( bigger drums
come with that obviously and here in Australia they are very difficult to get) Then I bought a pair of front 1/4 bumpers and stripped
and painted them satin black. I am contemplating a 5 speed box but my wife seems happy as it is. So happy in fact, that I literally have
to beg to take it for a drive!!! And for wanting to give it a squirt on a track . . . WELL . . . . Pigs will fly before THAT happens!!!
Here are some before and after pics

Excellent display. Don't let her on your sailboat until she's more agreeable. :)

Welcome, great looking car, snow plough front spoiler may not be to everyone's taste, but your car and my opinion counts for diddly squat.
I'd arrange for the car to randomly break down so the wife won't trust it any more, then you should get your Capri back.

with it being a 1970, and you have the quad lamps..
take it there was some effort involved getting past the inner wings? or are the KD kits fitted with (our) later style headlamp buckets..
    either way - very nice..
