Hi, I've been a member (lurker!) for a while but I've finally got myself a Capri. I've been wanting one for a long time but got caught up with MK3 Cortina's. I've still got a 1975 2000E but I've now got a 1984 2,8i Special to park alongside it!
Like most Capri's it's had a fair bit of work done over the years and the MOT history is colourful but it's very clean and solid now, so I'm looking forward to using it!

Nice looking ride, and driving it is just the right plan for it. Looks like someone has tried to take care of it. How many did you look at before choosing?

That's exactly what I thought. I've hardly driven my Cortina so I wanted a Capri I could get out there and use.
Yes, I think you're right, it's definitely had some money spent on it. The dealer I got it from did a bit of work to it too.
To be honest, I didn't look at very many as the good ones sold really quickly! I bought this one from a classic car specialist who did the paintwork on my Cortina so I knew it would be a good one.

If the glass is as good as it appears in the pic, that alone is a strong good sign. You got in a smart way.

Welcome, can't get much better than a 2.8i, hide behind the sofa, because l have one too, not that I'm biased, BUT, l love a 2000E, had one for 3 years, it went like shit off a shovel, always guaranteed to do 95 in third, days before GPS, so it's fisherman's bragging rights, was purple velvet, but l did it 2k black, it was the best car for handbrake turns as long as it was on 3 clicks any pics of yours?
