Back owning a Capri, prices have changed somewhat since 2008 when I sold my Project to fund new house, new child.

I have picked up a 1982 2.8i which someone has tried to make look like the later special. It drives and has an MOT although it's a bit tatty bodywise.

It didn't come with any kick panels so right away I could see why my floor was damp! Sunroof tube had been moved to poke out of a hole in the floor but this had fallen back in to the car, the other side just seems to be sat on the floor!

Dried the floor, luckily there was only minor surface rust so treated with bilt hamber and its had a nice thick coat of black chassis paint to keep it waterproof...now to decide what to do with the sunroof tubes!

Ordered a new seal from East Kent trim supplies, have to work out how to get the panel out and fit the new seal!

    I'll get some photos later!

Welcome back to a Capri, and welcome here. Just problem-solving, and most that you can do at home. Drive it a long time.

Cheers, I'm really lucky finding this house, the garage was what drew me to it, last garage I wouldn't have been able to open the car door to get out! Is the correct protocol to start a members cars post/thread? I have loads of little niggles to fix so advice will be very much appreciated.

its not protocol but it is nice to see what people are upto with there cars and if they need help in any way it helps to see where they are up to on there build also its a good way to keep a diary with out losing pics and having something to look back on as well

Right, a Members Cars thread, to chronicle your journey with the car, and document it for your own reference later.
This is nice, we don't even have to train you. :)
