    Hi all.
Quick intro from me and my car from Newcastle upon Tyne.
    B***ATU
    originally stratos silver 1.6ls.
Already built it once with a pinto on twin 45's but done it in a hurry and building my house knackered the paintwork. Have since stripped it down and got rid of the running gear.
I now have just about everything to fit a BOA 24v Cosworth engine and mt75 gearbox.... Saying that I need a prop!
Have emerald k3 ecu and loom
    Janspeed dual exhaust
    Front bilsteins with gt260 brakes
V6 Cross member and engine mounts
    All new poly bushing
Single leaf springs and Gaz gold shocks
    New v6 tank
    V6 clocks
    Atlas Gripper LSD newly built
    Need rear disk brakes!
    Full fibresports x pack kit
    Original turbo tail spoiler
    Nice gold 15" 8" alloys
Nice s interior with fish net head rests

Plan is to get it as far as I can then hand it over to Steve in Doncaster who I think is the best in the business to fit the kit, finish off and paint!

Really excited and hope to have it done for next year.

This is my second Capri and although I'm no mechanic I'm quite alright in doing most things myself.

Looking forward to talking to like minded people like yourselves.

    Cheers

    Kyle

Welcome -- You're well started on it, and it does sound exciting. You're welcome to post pics before it's finished, of course...

    hey Kyle ..
I like Newcastle, best Toon in England I reckon ..
did work a few times there - Swan House as was - in the middle of the ring bottom of Moseley Street down from Central station ..

your plans seem advanced & I hope you get there.. standalone ECU does seem to be the way forward - see Kris Duprey and his Irish monster !
I just dont like the 24V, but I will like seeing your Capri finished ..

as for booking in to Steve in Doncaster (EllieCharlie in here) .. If you arent booked in now, its not going to happen..
Granted he is one of the best we have seen, his results are gorgeous, and his work ethic is just exceptional..
BUT - he has decided to call it a day, all works on his books to be completed, no new bookings being taken on, new horizons beckon ..
I think you better talk to him now to gauge your alternatives for the future..

Me personally gutted he is calling it in, I love seeing his work, and would have liked to visit him one more time or so to get the chats in ..

    Hi :)
Kris Dupree supplied my bilsteins and front brakes. He's been really helpful.
I'm booked in with Steve in January! I read his update but have pestered the life out of him. He's been occupying himself with Porsche's it seems. Thanks for the warm welcome! Currently talking to Steve about twin turbos

Looks artistic, like part of one of those cars that looks fast while standing still. :)

I agree! Just need a few bits and bobs to get finished. Really need rear disk brake setup without paying £600!

All you need is 253mm solid disks, none vented callipers and brackets be the best part of £250. If your just running the 260 kit you mentioned above I’d go drums on the back the setup above would be too big

Hi Kyle . . . .from Toon myself so may see you about.
Had mine out yesterday (A1 and Gossy High St). . . . .got stopped and had the usual conversation with an admirer:p
Will probably SORN mine this week as MOT runs out Thursday and haven't made arrangements. Can always get it sorted if weather keeps ok but we'll see.
We should bump into each other for a pint next year . . .Grey St posing anyone?:cool:
