Bought a toy ive been wanting to get for a while.

Went to the Southern NSRA swap meet last weekend and bought myself a little project.

I was looking for a Radio flyer but this is almost the same.

    MTD 500 Wagon
I think its a 1950's wagon. But could be any age up to about 1970 when they added more plastic parts (From my limited research) if anyone knows better please let me know!

I'm not planning to do anything with it for a while, but though id share and keep this as a place holder.
Going to keep the paint as is, maybe brighten it up a little and clear coat it with patina. And replace 'running gear'

    The only kid is me!

This is a very American toy. We didn’t really have these over here.

I want to build a chassis for it. Lower it, run air filled tyres and run bearings on the axles so it’s quieter.
I have a lot of radio controlled parts left over from my days as a RC enthusiast. Still like it, just not as much time as before!
So I was thinking maybe make a second chassis and turn it Radio controlled for a laugh. But that won’t be happening for a long time!

My daughter has one, but it's a repro, its for an accessory to go with her T4 along with a 5 speed Raleigh Chopper.
I do get them, but in another way don't!!!

I can see you had to borrow the air from your Capri's rear tyre. Thats dedication.

Don't, i feel bad about the 2.0S just sitting on the drive and being neglected. :(
But the 2.8 takes priority at the moment

That tyre is the only one that looses air and does it in about 3 months of sitting. :(
