and someone found it in a barn
peice of history being brought back to life i remember it at belle vue a long time ago :thumbup1:
Fantastic find, makes you wonder what`s rotting away in peoples barns/garages.
Great to see its survived, shame about the crazed paint though, but it still looks solid.
Looks horrible, I would even be embarrassed taking the thing to the scrap yard..... but each to their own.
My Dad still has the original Custom Car Mag' with the feature of that car in it. Love the red interior and airbrushing! All those 70's custom cars are 100% cool again now! So tasteless it's got to be tastefull!
And to think this was found on my bloody doorstep... :wtf1:
Julie actually knows the guy who bought it... :chug:
Hoping to get to see it soon. :sleepy:
Here - here!!!! I hate all that 70s custom car-ing its like how the idiots a few years ago Max-powered all the Novas and Peugeot 306s, not my cup of tea but as said each to thier own.
if you do get the chance get some pics up for us
I second that. More pics would be great Col :thumbup1:
It was found by a friend of my wife's only 12 miles away. It's been there since 1988 in a barn behind a pub in a local village. The guy that bought it has been trying obtain it since 88...
Its an Icon of a time gone by so pleased the venom has been found and its alive .. seen a picture today its scrubbed up really well
Don't take offence im only having a laugh, but i think that was the only good thing about it, that it had been out of sight in a barn since 88!
It just looks like a badly built billy boy'd datsun 280zx wannabe thats run into the back of a truck ladened with 4" drainage pipes!
I love capri's, but I cringe when I see car's like these as that's the type of car that gave the capri's a joke sort of name of owning one.
If that was parked down the local high street, you would get more people taking the peee than saying, wow what a nice car. And those that did I would direct them either to the mental health hospital or the drug den across the road!
I like cool custom cars from the 70s, but this is just ugly, it was back then, and still is.. :duh:
in its day it was a work of art admit not by todays standards but times change, this was an iconic car in its day a real piece of 70`s history, i think it has to be a marmite car
I was looking at the photos Nick posted up HERE and im surprised by how many cars that were heavily modified during the 70's.
Im still not a fan but it is nice seeing the locations in the photos though, and seeing how busy the shows use to be.
I don't like that :/
nice find!! glad it survived
Crikey those must of been heavy duty drugs in the 70 s but as what's been said before every one to there own not for me thank yooooou :boxedin:
I like it, its of its time of course but that whats good about it. I would happily own and drive that.
Its intresting to say the least lol
Anyone know what sort of V8 it had?
if memory serves right it was a 455 out of a pontiac
Ahh, something big then. Shame it looks in bits in the bay now.
im not 100% on it but it seems to come to mind
