My first car was a Hillman, 1958.
My first crash was that Hillman, 1967.
Rolled, 3 1/2 times, woke up spinning, upside down, in the carpark of the funeral monument shop.
Good sleeper car, had a nice nap.

My Father had a husky for a couple of months while he part-timed at a garage.. great wee hauler..
and a next door neighbour of mine (wee while ago) was an absolute Imp maniac.. he rebuilt an Imp Californian in the parking lot beside his flats..
at various times it was on its side, its roof, all on old tyres !!
it was a great wee motor.. and the engine !!
wow !! from fire pump to racer - the Climax derived engine had to be de-tuned in the Imp to safe-guard the public when they were first sold..
didnt take the enthusiasts long to get that engine working at full chat..
    Great wee cars..
    and
Linwood - Renfrewshire.. so close to home..
should have worked, but Rootes Group screwed that all up..
