    Hi All

Just joined after acquiring my 1980 2.0 Ghia Auto, which I intending to fully restore (Gulp)
User to have a MK1 3.0 GXL back in the 80's, so it has been a long break from Capri ownership.
Looking forward to getting stuck in :)

Welcome - Check through the builds in the "Members Cars" section (well, other than mine) and you'll find plenty of resourcefulness and craft to inspire you through your own project. Ideally, you'll wind up with a good driver, and an impulse to throw bricks at other more modern cars. ;)

Hi - Sorry for the delay in replying.
The engine runs really well, although the engine bay needs some tidying up.
For now, there is some welding required, and the body will be getting a respray.
Interior is not bad at all, and is an interesting Red Velour (which I have never seen)
Alloys need to damn good refurb as well :)

They certainly are good looking seats and I love the integrated design of the headrests.
I have never seen an all Red interior but, you're right, it is stunning.
Best of all, apart from a worn drivers armrest, and the fronts seats needing a refresh of the foam, the interior is in excellent condition.

Congrats on the new motor, being slightly biased I must admit to being a Ghia fan, good luck with your seat refurb ;)
