Thanks for all the good wishes. 50/50 result. Mini no sale, one bid of silly money, chancer. Cameo flew out the door for a good profit though, so a good result. I thought it would have been the other way around, but its what happens on the day. Auction house said to give them 3/4 days and they will see if they can out the mini for me. Can take a bit of a loss as it will be well offset by the Cameo profit. Paul.

I hope so, the place was heaving, must have been 3/4 hundred people there so could not see the bidder. I would like to think they may get in touch for any more info I could supply. Paul.

its always heaving there and the cars have issues getting in, as for the dreamers they go to all the classic cars auctions the world over

laser had a bonded rear glass where as a capri on an 80 plate would be old school rubber mounted

Mini is still at the Auction house, will give them a ring tomorrow and see if there has been any interest, if not bring him back to Manea Towers. £3,000 would get him a new home, still lots of MOT, drive away classic. Paul.

Talk about last minute, recovery truck just pulling onto my drive to go to Lynne to collect the Mini. Auction house on the phone, deal done. In profit over both cars, Smashing! Paul.

Excellent news Finn, I have been trying to get our apprentice to buy it, he recently bought a 92 Mini & was contemplating buying yours & selling his, he has been trying to convince his girlfriend that it was a great idea, he snoozed & lost. I'll tell him the bad news at work shortly ;)

Thanks for your efforts young man, it is a cracking little car, turns heads and makes people smile. As I am approaching 3 score years and 10 it is like driving a brick. Paul.

Cheers mate and good spot. Didn't realise the car had been a collection. Had seen it had been at a few 50 celebration events but not been to many.
