Which model has those red rings? Was it cabaret or calypso?

Red rings might have been the GT4 model?

I had a 1984 2.0s that had them fitted, I think it went with the red strobe interior?!?

I was told GT4, I've never owned a GT4 so can only imagine I picked it up in a scrap yard years ago.

I think the red rings was a Mark 3, Gary Glitter Special Edition? Finn.

They aren't scrap yards any more, they're gold mines, took 2 small bits of plastic off a Fiesta, went to pay thinking a couple of quid and he said £10.00, the parts from Ford were less brand new, needless to say he kept the scrap parts, one of them broke on removal, but was hidden if I had purchased it.

I hadn't thought that far ahead. Probably end up selling it.

Talking of things lurking in the loft...

I have a genuine RS motorsport rubber front spoiler, although it has been painted black to match the car (in hindsight, probably not the best idea, but i was 19 at the time!). It hasn't been on the car for years and I only just re-discovered it the other day. Not seen one for sale for donkeys years, anyone got any idea what they might be worth? I know it was £120 when I bought it, but that was back when mint condition bonnets were £10 and running pintos were £50:eek:

I got my mint RS front spoiler in Germany for think 40€ 2004 I think.. then colour coded it when fitted in 2005..
its been stripped back now as part of the ongoing rebuild, but I may just colour code it again .. ..

they certainly seem to be more easily available than the rear double decker thing..

£50.00 pinto's, there's a trip down memory lane, when I got married, l had a MK2 Granny, it went bang the week before, my mate had a 2000E, pulled the engine complete, £50.00 handed over, l had a block and tackle hoist off a joist in the carport, it was just a spannering exercise!!!
Oh it was 1987, the Granny was 5 years old.
