Welcome here, a relatively easy challenge for us with limited computer skills. How long since the car had a good tuning? There are several particulars that could cause it to stall, like timing, worn plugs, dirty dizzy contacts, bad wires, fuel filters, even valve adjustment, and some of the British models have elements to the fuel system I don't have, like regulators or is it a "cold start valve" I've heard of?
Of course there are other possibilities, but I presume you've checked those --
    - Radio volume should be set at "Deafening"
    - Driver should have presentable shoes, appropriate for the marque
    - Rear view mirror should be fingerprint-free
    - At least one tyre valve cap should have the key incorporated, for removing the stem.
    - Windscreen, properly cleaned, inside and out
    - Ignition key should be somewhere in the car
    - Stay outside the town limits of Manea. It's like an automotive Bermuda Triangle.

    - Oh, and keep your left up

Also just thought of PCV valve, or vacuum leaks. There will be more ideas coming, I expect, as computers aren't my only limitation...

In the technical section there is a copy of a tuning manual for the K jet.

After setting basic timing it talks you through all the settings. Have a look at that.

Ran a fair few 2.8i's and as much as l am an Essex fan, l do like the 2.8i's, inlet air leaks, stake fuel, plugs worn, distributor worn, leads/rotor need replacing, hot and cold start issues.
Has anything been changed or adjusted for you to think fuel or timing?
