Welcome, tasty colour scheme for an injector, you'll never be short of support from members on this site.
Cheers always been my favourite colour for Capri 2.8 now she repainted from bare metal looks million dollars to me now to add to my engine rebuild should make it a good show car for summer
Cheers Jon appreciate comments it’s a lot of hard finger bashing dedication and time but it worth it when people especially MOT man when he lifts bonnet thinking just another old Capri to fail and then blown away with the shine lol love to see there faces makes me smile which is what Capri is all about. Got her on axle stands to drop axle off to give clean up new bushes shocks etc
Lol the mot man is complimentary about mine as its now pretty much rust free but he has never mentioned anything under the bonnet shining lol, I think mine is a million man hours behind yours. Your certainly at a good point in the build, the hard relentless graft is behind you and the spring is only a season away. Keep us posted. Jon
Looks nice and clean, a credit to the restoration Always fun to see a new Capri hit the shows and owners enjoying the cars!
That's close to the colour I'm wanting for Kismet. It could be what happens in the end (with a subtle custom pinstripe). Looks like it's dressed for any occasion. Now, please get it dirty...
Caspian blue stratos silver Sorry no can do on the dirty side must always be clean I promised my self to look after it lol
Welcome. A lovely machine you have there. Well done with the resto, don’t do as I did - get 99% way through then sell it It looks like it’ll easily be up there with the best when finished !
I promise it won’t be for sale owned since 1990 and Capri was sitting in my garage 12 years and thought you know what about time I got her out in sunshine again I’ve been working on her now over 18 mths couple of detail I’m trying to get right so she will stand out of the crowd
Ooooft. Did you drop the engine in like that? I wouldnt have been confident those straps would be holding onto those studs tight enough! Also, throw a thread up in the members section so you can update the build thread in there!
Yep I did use the two ton straps and yes looked well mmmmm but allowed me once lowered into engine tilt engine slightly back onto gearbox no issues Il put a tread in members area on my build progress cheers
