    1.6 Laser
    Hello from Durham
Hi guys I'm new to this forum, Im currently running a 1.6 laser but in the process of adding a 3.0 v6. The body work and adding reinforced panel won't be problem, but the ecu and electrics on the engine will be a challenge I'm old school and used to plugs points & carburettors, hopefully I can get some good advise from the forum.....apologies to the Ford faithful but my choice of engine is a Jaguar 3.0 AJ30 5 speed manual box

Welcome, and good luck with the transformation. There are a lot of engine swaps exercised here, so no need to apologize. Hopefully, what experience is here will help you do a better job of it.
In the end, what folks will see is another Capri on the road, and you still won't feel quite like you're driving a Jag. :)

    welcome to the forum bud
What ever engine you choose is your choice, if someone dont like it, it dont mater as its your Capri and you do what you like to it, and as said by Mr C&B its another Capri on the road, i do believe ive seen or heard of the swap you intend to do, set the car up as a 3.0 essex and go from there, plenty of help can be had, and we are lucky enough to have a very talented bunk on here who also think outside of the box
so a big warm welcome to the fold bud

Welcome, should be a good power output from the Jaguar engine, way above my capabilities, but good luck with it.
