    Transit daily, mk3 Capri someday....
Hi, back in a Capri again after a while away.
Recently bought a stalled mk3 project that has a rover v8 half in it.
Looking forward to getting it on the road someday! 20190629_165449.jpg

if its a later 28i T9, should be OK if the V8 is treated with respect ..
SD1 3.5, is worth 155bhp on carbs if good, 28s are 150.. V8 torque is better, so you shouldnt have to drive it with the pedal buried in the carpet..
low revs & better torque is comfier & gentler.. you can always move up when you break it .. and theres plenty choice
not least if you get your hands on a T5 with a TVR bell . - be aware that if you go LT77 or R380 you will most likely have to slice the tunnel ..
I have no problems with my T5 .. enjoy & experiment

LT77 i had to chop the top off the tunnel and rebuild it

Tae be honest I don't know what box it is, it's done the rounds a bit and it's all in bits and a bit of a mess. I've got 2 engines both with type 9s on them.
Bought an edelbrock carb and has a performance manifold too, my plan is just throw it together and take it from there!

my RV8 now built up with edelbrock Mani & 500, no bad cam, and duplex timing gear, mallory dizzy (points kit type o'thing!) ..
am hoping for a rather mild 180-200, no effort, no stress..
still want to drive in the basement rev range ..

stick a pic up of the box... theres guys here will soon id it ..

Nice wheels, from what l can see of them, can't beat a farm building for storage, never short on ventilation!!

Sounds like the same manifold and carb I have. Hope it does the job, engine is quite an unknown tae be honest!!
I'll take pics of the box next time I'm oot, although it's in the car so can't really see it! The other one is still on a paper though.
The wheels are gone, too big for my liking, 15 in plenty on a Capri I think.

I think me plan is tae use one of them as is, and tart the other one up and tune it, then swap them later. And it sounds like I'll need a spare box anyway! Sorry!
