On my pooter, I have to change the size of the pics first. Not sure if you can do it with a phone, never tried. On my Mac computer, in the "Tools" menu is an option to adjust size. In the box provided to choose, I choose the 1280 x 1024 size and save it. Then I insert that to the post and it works. (Does ask if you want to insert a thumbnail or a full image) There must be some equivalent function on a Windows machine, but I don't recall in what menu. Once done, it's easy to repeat...

On my old tablet I could do that, but now most of my internet is via my phone, it allows me to post on other forums, I need a teenager to show me what to do do.

I'm sure that even on a phone, you can go into your photo gallery, you can select the picture, and edit it ..
there will be an option to reduce the overall size .. ..

It's much too hard to upload pics here imo. Don't know why. The best way imo is to allow direct Flickr links.

Just done a load of work on the wifes Pug 206 which I was going to post up in the other cars section. Had a few diagnostic issues on the way I could have used input on. Too difficult to upload pics and videos so I didn't bother.

there is also the post-image route .. I am generally a luddite, but I can do both ..
but then I use a laptop.. I am still thick enough that I consider - phones for calls, cameras for pictures, computers for computing ..

I have also noticed - on loads of forums & on face-book - you can re-enter a post, full control, edit, change pictures and such no problem
.. try that on a phone, no access to a post once it is saved .. I now understand why you get to read peoples spelling mistakes, then an apology post
underneath, usually along the lines of 'damn spell-check'! .. so use your tools wisely and get the correct result ..

There are some apps out there that will resize your photos from your phone. Bung the problem into google and it may pop up!

im a thick dick when it comes to this stuff and like Al i use a lap top as my phone is for making and recieving calls, (ive had it 2 years and just found out i can video with it, dont know how but it does it)
The pic up loading is quite simple (done with me in mind i think) in the bottom right you will see upload file (this is between post a reply and more options) click pic your wanting then add and on the bottom right it will give you two options, thumbnail or full image click on full image then go back to the right side and click post reply, and there you have it

Got those two options on my tablet, but all my Capri pics are on my phone, which doesn't allow me to select any option!!
If anyone is wondering, the above pic is of the wing to door fit of my MK1 Pre airflow GT Cortina, wip!!

I'm not that old (44), but I also use computers to do data, phone to call and SMS and camera to take pictures.
Bought new phone around new year and I have hard time to get around it.
And everything is too small for my liking, things have to be done 3 times because you push a wrong button while typing or adjust something and make it take 3 times longer than on a laptop.
Do not help that the new phones do not comes with an manual!

If you have email on your phone just email them to yourself, pick the emails up on the laptop and save them. I usually edit them down at that stage to make them lower res, my phone seems to take pictures of 2 to 4 Mb so i reduce them to around 300kb on the PC.

..To edit just find the photo in the folder on your PC, right click, choose edit. Resize it to say 40% and save. How much you reduce it by depends on the size your phone takes the pictures at. 5 mins of trial and error on getting the size right. If you cant see the file size go to View menu and choose details, the size of each file in the folder will then be visible.
