Push to start system

    I bought my ford capri not too long ago, was wondering if anyone knew if or how to install push to start using a kit

    Yes, it's two hands, or the reason Skoda's have heated rear windows, joking apart, it's just something else to go wrong, unless you have a good quality switch.

    unless your loom has already been hacked.. theres some heavy wires down there.. wouldn't really bother ..
    run an Ignition 2 Live thru a push button and pick up the Black/Yellow currently on Ign 3..

    Easy enough to do. I planned it a while back with an integrated RFID immobiliser too... never white got around to it.

    MK2 1976 2.0L GL (rotten), Mk3 1983 2.0L "S" (basically just the shell), MK3 1.6L Cabaret (nearest to being back on the road) - all in bits! Focus 2.0 Ghia Zetec estate awaiting sills. 2.0S Mondeo Duratec estate for the daily.
    I'd look at a remote start kit. Have a word with Hawk. I've only used them for retro fit central locking stuff but they're easy to deal with, very pleasant on the phone and the tech back up is great if you've any questions:

    My first car, Moggy Minor had a push to start, all my mates got behind and pushed me to get it started. Finn.

    i had a push button start fitted to Noo Noo, and had it where the cigar lighter was, and when the ashtray was shut no one knew where it was
