My expack is finally back on the road BUT, brakes are like putting your foot onto a brick. Servo was checked(although I'm not convinced the diagnosis is correct) I have tottally rebuilt the calipers, four pot fronts, two rear. Question is, is there an alternative servo to the 2ltr one I have.?

Didn't someone mention a BMW alternative used by members of a German capri club? May be worth investigating.

Land Rover master cylinder seems the way most go, anyway that was the norm for modding brakes a little while ago.

But brake booster is what makes brake force needed at pedal effortless.
Some german chaps have used Audi A4/A6 brake boosters and VW Polo resevoir as those sits like a angle like on Capris.
The one I've seen (on a Mk1), had a 10mm adapter made to fit the orginal booster brackets.

I had a link before to a thread showing how it was done.
Shall see if I find the thread again.

This is also the way I want to go with mine.

My mate have fitted a universal 7" double diaphragm, mostly used by hot rods etc.
He did this due limited space available.
Modern cars have double or even tripple diaphragm, which is why modern cars have good brakes and little pedal effort needed.
Capri and older vehicles used single diaphragm, that's why you need to use more force than a modern car that feature the same size caliper piston size and brake booster size as Capri.
