I'm sure my blood is blue, my attraction to Fords started at an early age, but l also suffer from a disease that normally prevents me from selling or parting with anything in the blue oval stable, there have been a few escapees!!
I will be seeking counseling once the pandemic has levelled out and l am seen not to be wasting vital medical resources!!! IMG_20200413_113609.jpg

It's one of my other passions, long roofs aka an estate, its a Granada 2.8i Ghia X estate facelift, wow that's a mouthful, and no, the wife's never said that!!!

It was purchased, because when we first got married we decided to have St Bernards, the big Granada was fully loaded and had AC, which was essential for the dog, but the car was purchased with 15000 miles on the clock and the next 32,000 miles cost me a lot of money, engine problems, gearbox problems, central locking problems and miss firing problems, the day l took my daughter to see her new brother in hospital, all good, on the way back home, it was pouring with rain, my daughter was restless, she had dropped her dummy, l pulled over to pick up the dummy, gave it to her, went back round to get back in the car, and wtf, car had locked me out, it's pitch black, tipping it down with rain, it was the days before mobiles, ahhhhh. Do l put a brick through one of the windows, no, luckily at 5 years old, the tailgate had started to rot, l managed to prize it apart to get to the little rod that dead locked the tailgate, so in l climbed over the back seats!! At one point l had it in lechler tasmin blue, tinted windows, smoked lights and Mercedes AMG alloys, oh and a twin exhaust system.

the MK2 Granny is alot of money as the banger boys love them so they are becoming a rare sight now, not as high as the MK1/ MK2 escorts, or even our own beloved Capri`s but still fetch a good price, especially the rare models like the sportsman which came with leather luggage and special paint

It's getting a good one, that's the hard bit, mines the 160bhp injection model, TRX wheels as standard etc etc, it's the old supply and demand scenario, l do love my Granny!!!

Sounds interesting stuff, I always liked the 2 door Granada saloons, not the Coupes, that were available in Europe, the jammy bu**ers.
