Hey everyone, I just wanted to spread the word from this post on a car group on facebook:

We all fear something like this happening and I know you're all keen Capri spotters so if you think you seen something on ebay or other sales places please get in touch with me to pass it along, or if you can view the post properly then by all means respond directly to that.

No further info was posted besides what's in the picture, but I have suggested they provide more.

    Updates - 23rd Feb
The owner had an Irish man knocking on his door saying he had his car and wanted money for it. "£200 for some mysterious accident it had been in"

    24th Feb
The owner found out his car was being towed on the M5 towards Cribbs Causeway around 1pm.

So the car is still around and pretty close too.

The owner (who has health issues) felt intimidated as something similar happened before and he was assaulted

Someone should find the guy who knocked on the door and burn his caravan and all the other surrounding caravans

    Updates -

"Possible sighting of it in Malpas, Newport, South Wales."

"I was on the m5 yesterday folks I was in Cheltenham and Gloucester I also come across a big travers site to"

Three new possible locations; Newport, Cheltenham and Gloucester. It's likely around those parts if it was being towed on the M5.

Second that. Total waste of time. To busy doing the government's dirty work by bleeding motorists dry for doing a few mph over the limit. Slightly off subject..A friends house was broken into and it took the police 2 hrs to get to him and said it wasn't a 999 call..when he phoned the crims were still upstairs! Great Britain at its best! I'm sick of hearing about classic cars going missing, upsetting and frustrating. Hope they're caught and get a kickin!

Car has been found by police! Apparently it's still in pretty decent nick too!

Wow have the police actually done something right, Nice to hear of the good news! I feared it would be another one lost, sounds like these gypos need rounding up and shooting, disgusting stealing the car and then intimidating the owner, perhaps being St patricks day yesterday knocked some sense into them.

I met Digby today, and I'm sad to say that the police still haven't recovered the car. It's been found in a locked travellers compound but the police haven't gone in to get it but told Digby to break in (cut the chain) and recover it himself! Sounds like the old bill are scared to enter the site!
When I left late this afternoon he did say he was going to chase it up again as the officer still hadn't got back to him when he told them where to go about him recovering it himself!
You couldn't make this up if you tried. Unreal.

get on to his local MP now
fechin' ridiculous state of affairs, problem is if the gyppos get a sniff of a recovery operation, they'll just torch it ...
also - his insurance company, what are they doing?

WTF, so the po-po are telling him to trespass and risk injury, when they could do it and have less chance of being beaten up on entry.bl
