Welcome in. It would be perfectly acceptable to put a build thread here, in our Members Cars section, plenty of space.
(Some, or maybe only one of us will never see it on Instagram.) And hopefully one day it will make an appearance at East Kirby.

    welcome Lee,
I seem to remember a feature many moons ago of the building of this one..
Would be a good move to log in and get a thread on Members Cars.
the pics & story will then be visible to all proper Capri Fans..

I remember that one very well, even sitting here in Norway.

Think there was a build log in the CCI mag back in the day?
If it was, I shuld still have that copy in my collection :)

The bit I remember well was the Sierra inner wings and the cut out of the spare wheel well to make room for the Sierra diff.

That's good to know, he should know the car inside out, unless he has dimentia, which I am pretty sure is creeping up on me!!!! But I did remember how to paint today. IMG_20200626_122540.jpg

I did own a 2.8i 4x4 Sierra Ghia Estate, purely for towing my twin axle 6 berth caravan, I'm guilty as charged, was regularly seen on the A55 heading to Wales not normally holding up traffic, but what a great car, other than rust!!! I very often could induce the back end to step out, which took some doing, but obviously without the caravan in tow and without the misses, swopped the Sierra for a Mercedes 190E with Cosworth kit and flat face alloys, it had a 10 disc CD player which was the top ICE you could have at the time!!!

It's East Kirkby, altered by my computer spelling corrector. Home of the popular, normally annual Capri Power Lancaster Bomber meet. Good ice cream there. And Capris, and the bomber. And the people who own them.
