How exciting - doing an all day track day at Snetterton on Weds - weather is looking good for the week so should be a great day.

Anyone about to come and watch me do my stuff????

Maybe this should have been in the Tool Shed - sorry admins!!!

I was supposed to be in my 2.8i but the rear spring swap still isn't finished as I'm waiting for a replacement rear right spring shackle.

Taking the company oil burner Mondeo wouldn't exactly be any fun so managed to convince the GF to let me take her MG-TF 160 which should be fun. It's silver with a hardtop fitted and an NCZ number plate.

When I asked if I could take it we were watching the Top Gear episode where they all go off to Rallycross. I told her it was similar to that and she jumped about 4 feet off the couch and started shouting etc. Very funny and I'm sure she still thinks it's going to come back a bit mudy!

It's an all day event and sessions are split between bikes and cars.

    may see you there..........

    Jerry.

Track day was seriously good fun. Managed to squeeze in six, twenty minute session doing between 5 and six laps each time. Had some really good action with a couple of Lotus Elises, a very well driven MX-5 and an older MR2. Lots of different cars from an Aston Vantage, 911 Carerra 4, Skyline, Nissan 350Z Supercharged, Mini's, 205's, Vectra V6, Alfa GTV etc. Burnt through £40 worth of fuel on track and a fair bit of tyre and brake pad material.

On the long back straight was just hitting 120 but had a few "moments" in the following corner so kept it to 110 after that. It's a brilliant circuit and really challenging in some of the corners. Highly recommended!!
