Hi all and ta in advance.
My electric aerial has died and I need a replacement, I would really appreciate any experiences and recommendations you have.
There are plenty out there but which should I buy? I don't want to have to do this twice, I already regret the amount of underseal I've got to get through before I even see the current one.

    Cheers chaps.
    Jon

Hirschmann aerials are well made, Mercedes used them for decades.

Hirchmann supplied the original ford ones then produced their own to the same spec later

When I purchased my Capri neither the radio, loudspeakers or aerial was fitted, a week later I was drilling a hole in the wing top for the electric aerial and cutting the door cards for the speakers and tweeters, and then after removing the dash blanking plate a Pioneer am/fm head unit was slotted in.
Forty three years later the Hirschmann antenna is still fully functional along with the rest of the kit that was installed, plus now two later pod style speakers sitting on the shelf.
