He had other projects Rs500, wide body Rs500, a Full reshell on a 280 He openly admits that I was supposed to be rebuilt that winter to a higher spec, more powerful setup and he never got round to it
I've gone through my CCI Magazine collection, and as I remembered it was featured in the August 2002 CCI magazine Stunning work and good to see it soon up and running again
I joined CCI in 96' so that was the first time I saw it. BTW if you click on the fullscreen button beside the thumbnail when uploading, it will show a big picture instead of a small one
excellent series of pictures Lee ... me being a retired auld fart now, I have taken the liberty of changing the thumbnails up to full image for you .. the first batch will not convert straight away due to the image size, no worries I will get that sorted for you .. and they will soon be all on show.. Excellent thread Lee, and many thanks for considering the forum for the build thread as you have just done..
those exhausts - cannons ! but the build in general, really rather well done.. am extremely impressed by the grafting of a Sierra front rail system onto the Capri tub .. Thanks Lee for putting these up so far, and please let us know how the build progresses into its next phase ..
when do you hope to have this finished and back on the road? you also said its having a few mods done as well ? You are excused Sir

It really is great to see this come back to life. A great memory from the old days of Top Gear. Brilliant to see some of the fabrication too. I follow you on instagram, so will keep an eye on that too. Give him a follow if your on it: https://www.instagram.com/b654woo/

This one of the best examples of keeping any Capri at its intended life. But especially this Capri. World class. What did you use to get it so clean? (I got mine almost that clean last week. By the time I got the camera, there was dust from the air settled all over it.)
Just spyed my mate gaz polishing on a few pics haha.not seen gaz and glenn for a while.gaz done some welding on an rs turbo i once had Top job going on there .
It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that that I have to inform you of the passing of a great and kind man , Peter 'Rusty' Kennedy. Rusty was a legend in the drag racing scene all through the 90s & 00s, racing his hand built capris at York & Santa Pod and always coming home with a pile of trophies. He was a god on the spanners and built many cars, some of them for his followers on here. Rusty will never be forgotten and will be in the hearts of his family and friends forever
Such sad news and heart goes out to family and friends. Remember seeing this car and that is what made me go cosworth in mine although 2wd for me.
