    Hi all,

I'm back using the Capri (Mk3) as a daily car and the wind noise is driving me crazy. I replaced the door window channel rubbers last year as the old ones were falling apart.

The problem is that the new repro ones I bought from East Kent are too wide in the gap that the glass slides in and so the glass rattles and I get bad wind noise - very dissappointing as they are advertised as correct fitment. The glass is approx 4mm thick but the rubber has a gap of about 6mm.

Are there any better quality reproduction rubbers around? Or does anybody have some good originals available?

    Cheers,

    Steve

I had the same thing from that company , they assured me they would fit , rang them and they gave no other solution. Sounds a bit gash but I ended up glueing some wire into the back of mine to close the gap , fiddly and time consuming but it works :DeadHorse:

    Ask a trader on here
no better solution than getting a pair of original non split corner seals its the rear corner that tears when you do get dome evo stick then into the channel once the rust in the bottom edges has been wire bushed out and rust proofed

    Thanks for the replies.

i will check with the traders to see if they can source them elsewhere. If I find a close match I will post up the details to help others- its very frustrating being sold sub-standard items after being told they are an exact match :cursing:/> just like their sunroof seals.

I thought I would update this thread. I see on ebay a seller is saying they now have the correct version of these rubbers for Capri. Might have to get myself some!!

Here is the link, hope it works - am posting from mobile.
