Hi, I'm Glen. I was spotted by Spence near Swindon and he came back and told me about this forum!
I have a 1981 3.0S in red with a black vinyl roof. It's pretty standard with mostly cosmetic changes and a nice sounding stainless steel exhaust system. All the work done is credit to the previous owner's hard work. I used to have a green LHD 2.0S capri and lots of plans for it, but I realised quickly that I break more than I fix :lol:/> so I decided to sell it and get a 3L that was done the way I like.

Here is the red 3L with the old 2L. Miss my green one had it for 7 years and been everywhere with it. But sadly couldn't keep both.

    Welcome Glen, that's a nice looking 3ltr ..
I like the mustang side stripes, still quite unusual and a nice touch, proper grille (my favourite) .. its a little too low at the front for my personal taste, but if you're happy that's just fine & dandy ..
Spence is one of the good guys, so if you are looking to look after a Capri, he will be a worthy guide ...
get yourself a build / history thread started... and please post more pics of the 3ltr if you can

    Thanks everyone!

The lowered front is actually just the gradient of my drive, so on a level road it sits normally.

I would love to make a build thread, but I did buy it as it is. So I have just been polishing it, taking care of it and driving it a lot :smokin:/>/>

I will get more pics up this weekend

You are welcome anytime Spence, if you are walking past just give us a knock. If the capri is out im most likely at home

Thanks trevster, the rims are Cragar. I kind of like chromed wheels :), but what a pain to keep them clean and rust free !

Hey Glen, I went down to Wiltshire Classic Ford Club meet this evening at the Sun Inn pub just past the hospital in Swindon. There was a good mix of fords there, just the one Capri today sadly. You should come along, I'll be taking mine down next time.

Hi Glen, I think you might still be away but just in case you are back the next WCFC meet is this Sunday at the Sun Inn Swindon, just past the hospital as you go into town. I'm not sure I can make it but I am going to try and get there with mine. Let me know if you are about and we can go down in convoy if you like.

Hey Glen, good to see you earlier, I hope you didn't mind me stopping by on the spur of the moment but thought it would be good to finally show you my car to prove it does exist!

Great to have a look over yours, she's looking good and a proper drivers car at that.

If you are around next weekend the Wiltshire Classic Ford club is off to Castle Combe, I bought a ticket but now can't go because I have to pop and sort some stuff at my parents farm. You are more than welcome to the ticket if you want just let me know.

    All the best

    Spence.
