    Hi
Is it possible to buy possibly deleted numbers from the DVLA?

if you have a registration mark that appears to have 'disappeared' from the system, you could in the first instance appeal to DVLA for the re-issue of that number..
    - however we have found that DVLA will resist the urge due to compliance worries ...
We had a Capri that was sold, all papers duly completed and the vehicle was subsequently registered in the channel islands..
we have since applied for that old (now unused) reg to be re-issued by cherished number transfer to another project ..
DVLA informed us that the number is now no longer available for re-issue ...
