    Hi,
Thought i'd say hello as I'm new to the fold.
Although I don't own a Capri yet that's hopefully soon to change.
    I've always wanted to own a Capri,specifically a mk3....with a V8 and i'm now in a position to do so.
So a bit about me,I'm Adam,34 from Leeds.
I'm a self employed joiner/builder by trade but have around 15 years experience of building and modifying cars in my spare time.
I've mainly been involved in old Audis, specifically the 80 platform, i've had my current Audi 80 saloon for nearly 8 years,in that time it's been fully rebuilt and repainted, been converted from front wheel drive to quattro, been converted from a 1.9tdi to a 4.2 v8,then to a 5 cylinder turbo and now as it sits has a 2.7 bi turbo v6 from an Audi allroad with supporting hardware and software for 450hp/750nm.
As you can imagine over time i've picked up a few skills including welding...i'm guessing that may help with my next choice of car!
I'm very much looking forward to starting a new project and building something to satisfy an itch i've had for years.
Hopefully in the fullness of time i can make a positive contribution to the forum instead of asking daft questions.
    Cheers,Adam

Welcome, Adam. You're showing all the right spirit for being here, and will find a suitable car. It doesn't need to find you before you can participate here, and even daft questions are allowed. But you've already painted a picture of your intended car, and it already looks like one of our showpieces.

Thank you for a warm welcome,I'm a firm believer that a car can be expression of yourself...I'm currently in the process of buying a car,it needs quite a bit of work however I'm not one to shy away from a challenge!

Welcome, I like the Audi/VW scene, only have a Mk2 Golf GTi and a 4 door Mkl, ran a 100 Avant 5 cylinder for a long time, the engine note is special, a Capri should be a walk in the park for you.

Well I'm making progress with getting a car...should be picking it up next weekend.
The plus side is it's fitted with a 327 Chevy lump, the downside is it's rough as a bears arse, that said it's more than sortable.
Will post some pics up when it arrives

As is the way...same as when you spend half a day polishing and waxing a car and the heavens open...or worse still a bird takes a dump on your hard work
