A few weeks ago, I alerted a friend to a Capri at Pick-n-Pull in California. He was able to remove these parts I've been wanting, and a few more - The weatherstrip from under the bonnet, a reg plate lamp socket, a few small clips, and surprise, a mint condition windscreen I didn't expect. All for $60 American. On the way there, stopped for a leg-killer 9-mile hike and a day of kayaking at Caples Lake--Wished you were here.
looks a really nice journey .. and extremely nice prices... but I would get a refund on the bulb in that lamp unit - looks blown from here
He comes on here, teasing us with his Capri parts bounty at almost give away prices, follows that up with photos of beautiful scenery ....... you sir are a cad & a bounder & should be publicly thrashed in the village stocks
If it could have waited until this weekend, the parts would have been on sale, half-priced, but that Capri is gone now. I think Capri Power should have its own Pick-n-Pull.
I know many folks here around don't ... but I do keep in touch now (thru fb) with various Capri pages.. when I see some of the stuff/sh!t going thru the UK pages, then look at and take note of the news and threads in the USA.. its like 2 different worlds! Spares at reasonable (cheap) prices, loads of folk helping each other.. support and various local shows.. relatively good cars being sold at very low prices.. I do believe that Gary here could be in a true Capri heaven.. OH - and the 'Swarm' in Kentucky coming up with some real nice guys and cars attending from all around..
ive seen the swarm pics from previous years, as its been going for many years now, and the cars are amazing, like your self i have spoke to some in the past and always been welcomed in to chat with them,
