Ok, I have now formulated a list of what I want to do to the capri this year. I dont have a garage so while the nights are dark Im restricted to dry weekends. I will try to keep photos coming, even of the uninteresting stuff.

    1 replace points (on order)
2 replace fan belt (on order)
3 reset tappets (rocker cover gesket on order)
4 flush coolant as the water is really scummy.
5 check cam belt - replace if necessary (not a job for me)
    6 sort temp sensor
    7 oil/filter change
8 investigate damp on floor pan in drivers side footwell
    9 change ht leads/spark plugs/dizzy cap
10 de-bumper car (not a job for me - apart from maybe taking off the bumpers)
11 rust treatment and respray of affected areas (not a job for me) will probably have done at same time as de-bumpering. There are only a few bits to sort (leading edges (bonnet and wings)/1 corner of rear valance/1 inch under o/s rear arch/couple of spots above sills near front of doors) non if it looks too bad and just appears to be surface.

All of this will take time as money is very tight.

And I have wish list of un-necessary items that I cannot afford (on top of what I already hope to acheive).

    1 Turbo tail
    2 Strut brace
3 Rear suspension struts (may become necessary)
4 Tinted rear window and rear 1/4 glass (had a quote of £150)
    5 Rear window louvre

So far this year I have had a cd player fitted under the glove box (see picture), replaced rusty bolts on mud flaps with dacromet and replaced the vacuum hose with clear pvc hose from work.

Im now thinking of other things that I can take off easily to get painted, one of the guys at work has said that he will sort out anything I want in the detail booth (any ideas cos its all free).

I also re-routed the wires on the stereo to hide them, I will get photos up at the weekend of the shocks/stereo and cambelt cover fitted.

Just tried to sort a couple of jobs. I need to replace the ns wing mirror. I took the door card off expecting to have access to the screws but cant see where to undo the mirror.

I have however sorted my driver side speaker, took the door card off to find it was just unplugged - bonus.

Next weekend I am removing the rust off the brake drums and painting with hammerite smooth.

    OK updating my list

1 replace points (on order) - still not fitted
2 replace fan belt - done
3 reset tappets (rocker cover gesket on order) - still not done
4 flush coolant as the water is really scummy.- still not done, I have a new thermostat to fit - not that the old ones faulty.
5 check cam belt - replace if necessary (not a job for me) - cam belt ok
6 sort temp sensor - fixed, I now have a brand new spare doh!
    7 oil/filter change - still not done
8 investigate damp on floor pan in drivers side footwell - lead replacement had leaked from the glove box doh!
9 change ht leads/spark plugs/dizzy cap - only dizzy cap done
10 de-bumper car (not a job for me - apart from maybe taking off the bumpers) - decided against
11 rust treatment and respray of affected areas (not a job for me) will probably have done at same time as de-bumpering. There are only a few bits to sort (leading edges (bonnet and wings)/1 corner of rear valance/1 inch under o/s rear arch/couple of spots above sills near front of doors) non if it looks too bad and just appears to be surface. - too expensive for 2010.

All of this will take time as money is very tight.

And I have wish list of un-necessary items that I cannot afford (on top of what I already hope to acheive).

    1 Turbo tail
2 Strut brace - on order
3 Rear suspension struts (may become necessary)- spax adjustables fitted
4 Tinted rear window and rear 1/4 glass (had a quote of £150) - on hold
5 Rear window louvre - decided against, at least for now
6 Axle location kit - should be on this weekend - thanks for the plans Finn
7 Chrome wing mirrors - should have sorted within a fortnight

The axle location kit is now fitted. Really does make a massive difference, makes cornering more of an exact science.
