So this summer has highlighted the need for a bigger rad.

The current Audi 5 cyl rad was ok (just) when it was a 3.5 but the high compression 4.6 has pushed over the edge.

Any of the RV8 or SBF guys recommend one?

All the TVR ones are too wide.

Hmmm Mondy TD? I’ll look into that thanks.

Mondeo TD rad was a monster, we had one fitted to Rumbly.. piggin huge..
ours was sitting in front of the crossmember, and pegged onto the bottom of the front vallance.. bottom hose was a bit of work but it never let us down..
top hose angled down a touch but the standard SD1 top-hose fitted fine

Never recall hearing the fans run while the car was moving.. and that was down to slow running in the city or roadworks..
the twin fans kicked in sometimes when you stopped, but never for long at all..
I actually think now that the radiator was actually too big for the job !!

Going Transit Smiley DI now.. good thickness, better working size - I think ..
certainly allows for all the hoses to have immediate access, and has neat feet to sit on..
