Thanks to all again. You keep me inspired! 1. Ford used very good paint at factory. Old ‘76 ( tribute to the Eagles “old ‘55”), had been resprayed 20+ years ago. What wasn’t media blasted is being stripped with nastiest aircraft stripper for even epoxy. The respray comes off easy but factory paint is a bear. 2. She came with dealer option mud flaps behind wheels so little to no rust normal areas. Ugly as sin but effective. 3. If you think a 45 year old Capri is rust free you haven’t gone deep enough. 4. Protect from critters if you have to store your car. Just found where some thing chewed into harness/wiring loom. Ouch! 5. A mistress might have been cheaper…..

Maybe I need to go for counseling. Anyway, finding the wiring damage was a gut punch. Early on, I bought every connector, socket and plug to make new loom/harness and even taught how to for Hitachi etc. I’ve just got too many other more “fulfilling” tasks.

The little bast**ds chewed my immaculate arm rest, I caught them, I'd have bought them a nice block of cheese if they hadn't done that.

We have three cats and still the mice dare to enter the house. I recently bought a Mk2 Escort and found mice had a nest in the headlining and under the back seat I found there favourite place to s**t.
