Thank you ;o)
Wowzers thats lovely any interior and engine bay pics please
Thank you. Here are the pics I have at the moment. Its fairly tidy but not perfect..... i've not been concentrating under the bonnet as yet
Truly beautiful, you don't see many Mk2's about now especially in this condition.
Was it in good condition when you bought this one Andy? or was it a project like your mk3?
That's nice enough you should drive with the bonnet up, so people can see.
Thank you Rafer. It was in a very similar condition when I bought it last October. I just ran it this summer and enjoyed it then recently I changed out all the suspension, steering, brakes, bigger anti-roll bars and replaced the 13inch 4spokes with 15's and fitted a Janspeed exhaust as I hated the drone from the full Sportex system and especially hated the 3" tailpipe....on a classic it just looks so wrong !
What a beauty, always had a thing for the mk2, excellent job,
Thanks for the extra pics .stunner that.
Absolutely fantastic & that's from someone who's never really felt the love for the looks of the mk2, super job inside & out
Thank you very much
this is a beauty Andy..
its been nice watching it appear on fb..
its also really fortunate that with you having both a 77 & a 78 on the same driveway - you will see both chassis plates together side by side ..
chassis type id.. GECP..
so you have both early and late Capri II side by side..
the other one will actually state Capri II on one of the plates I believe..
are they both German build??
VinTag factory build date codes ??
Fascinating pair you have..
Cheers Alan, the covers will be coming off the 3ltr next week so I'll get some picks of the vin tags on both and pick your brains about their build history if that's okay
real head turner stunning motor i see you have the RAM AIR airfilter which part is the K&N sticker for, Oil filter?
Loving the spots as well .mine had a set on and i gave them away tut.i think il ask for em back!
Thank you, No idea about the K&N sticker....I've just left all the under bonnet and window stickers as it came to me last year.
lots of time to bend it to your pattern Andy.. if you color match the '78 to this one, would be an awesome pair on show...
Definitely will be as close as possible
