I have a sportex system on my 2.0 fitted recently. Happy with the sound, and lack of sound when appropriate, but the centre section sits very low, is this normal?

I Havnt measured it, but it caught a red bull can laying on its side, so probably only about 3" clearance. Is this just how it is?

I have a sportex aswell and I seem to have the same problem , I think it might just need a bit of adjusting

Yeah they don't fit the best, you need a to create a bracket to support it.

I had the same issue, spent a day with two of us adjusting it to get it as far up as possible.

I had an additional silence fitted into my twin pipe system that I bought from CCI. Raised the sagging centre pipe whilst we were at it.

Yeah this was a problem with mine initially too. The bracket on the mid box is too big and needs trimming down or bending into a lower shape.

I made this diagram a while back to explain it to someone on here. This is supposed to be a cross section looking from the back or front, original on left, modded on right:
