Hi chaps hope everyones keeping well and safe in these sad times .bored!!!! .well I never clean the wifes car.cleaned it! Cleaned the house windows.hoovered up.had long hair,barbers shut so shaved the fecking lot off!while the wife was at tescos.got a right royal bollocking haha Got the capri out cleaned it inside and out.took the dash out to make sure i did a propper job last time of the wiring as i soldered a lot of botch ups up.ive had all my fishing tackle out.cleaned it .put it all back.im going bleeding mad.anyone else going off theyre rockers ?. A few pics of the car which doesnt need much doing to it but il find something! And to be fair uve seen my car before but il shove fresh pics up because ive nothing else to do!
Really good pics mate, think you need to take more of the interior, it will give you something to do as well as provide more reference for folks
Been told this before not sure.been told the sills are black as well.seen a press car and it didnt have the black.so im leaving it as is.cheers for input chaps.
ot as mint as when i finished her as she gets driven but shes nice.might shove it on axle stands and give it a once over il see how bored i get haha

been doing a little research and the black light panel was not standard on the Capri S but was standard on the MK4 Tina`s
Its not like that anymore as for driving her.my last car i restored was finished like new underneath.and when i came to sell it after two years of use a bloke came and got under the car and said oh its dirty underneath ! Must have been expecting me to clean it .these cars need to be driven .unless i mint it and let it sit there mmmmmmmm er no
Thanks .mines not totally standard.it has 2.8 braking system.janspeeds.lsd. i tried to get it as near as then gave up haha
I got given a brand new 5 speed box in the crate from fords with the car and i sold it.i thought id keep it original 4 speed.what an idiot i am but heyho.
Probably gonna get slated but I fancy a renault 5 gt turbo .had a few when i was a lad love them.they are a piece of french $hit but id like to restore one to factory.

I can vouch for that, I owned a MK4 2.0S same colour scheme, same seat trim, what a brilliant car, an indicated 95mph in 3rd gear, I remember my seats were a pain to clean and keep clean. tazla, your whole car looks immaculate, it's the kind of finish I will be aiming for with mine.
Hi thanks.the pics make it look a lot better than it is .its in good nick but could be nicer .the one thing that bugs me is a cig burn in the drivers seat i had a company come out who filled it with glue and fibres.it looked great until it dried out.but hey ho.i might get some cloth one day .
Apparently someone told me mine will do 50 in first 70 in second 90 in third and 118 in fourth.never tried to be honest
always preferred .. I got my doors blown of by one of these on the route de periferique around paris .. my GXL was no slug, but he were gone before I could drop a gear !

Exhausts sound luvverly. Found some in my man cave, 3" Sportex, bet they will be buggers for clearance.
It’ll happen one day, always watching for sale... still got some handy OE parts stashed too. Champagne gold 2.0s, tweaked not daft like my YB would be hard to resist. If I’m not too skint after lockdown I think I’ll be on the hunt. I pished too much cash on daft cars a while back but have been good for ages so the mrs is more open to a capri returning to the garage
